Congratulations to Egypt! If you see them manage to remove all of that nasty religion and it’s laws completely from state affairs – you will be a witness of the first Muslim country gradually stepping out of the middle ages. It’s doubtful it will happen considering how extreme Egypt is as a society, but one can always dream…
Egypt’s first interim government since the military toppled president Mohamed Morsi two weeks ago was sworn in Tuesday, after deadly clashes between the security forces and the deposed Islamist’s supporters. Three Christians are also said to be in the new government, with one of them also being a woman—Environment Minister Laila Rashed Iskander.
